Four committed volunteers from UVU visited DFUNK

06 June 2015

Four committed volunteers from UVU visited DFUNK. The volunteers had the pleasure of giving inspiring and motivating speeches to female refugees at DFUNK. The speeches the volunteers gave took place in Danish and were simultaneously translated to Arabic and English, since audience members were from different nationalities participated.

DFUNK welcomed us warmly and found the speeches to be very insightful. Many participants asked interesting questions. Among other things they were interested in the journeys the volunteers have been on through the education system and how it was to be a part of the Danish culture.

It was a vey instructive event for both parties. We in UVU had the opportunity to inspire and meanwhile got inspired by the willpower and commitment the participants showed.

UVU looks forward to more arrangements like this with DFUNK in the future.
